Many think the middle child feels left out. They aren’t the oldest and not the baby of the family. They do what they can to catch the attention they might be lacking. In this family… it might be the opposite. When growing up, Ellie always insisted on being in the center of every photo taken. Instead of “middle child” syndrome, she switched it up to “center of attention”. The three of them laughed as I put them in age order and proceeded to let me know of their sister’s focus over the years. So, as I gave them each a chance to be the center of attention, the spotlight was truly on their dad. While Cally and John celebrated their anniversary ON the day of our session, John was in the midst of celebrating his birthday season. Season?! Yes, season. While many of us push our birthdays out to a birthday week or even a month… John has taken it to the next level. The struggle for the spotlight continues with this family. 🙂
