Our morning adventure with Hazel and Charley was filled with perfect morning light playing beneath the trees. While Charley was ready for some exploring, Hazel’s big blue eyes fought back tears for much of the session. However… you wouldn’t know it from their images below. Although this session may have felt overwhelming for mom and dad and their sweet little girl who was unhappy for no reason we could understand… they stuck with me. I encouraged them to continue on… smelling flowers, picking rocks, and tickling bellies. It only takes a short moment to capture a child in the midst of tears. These parents did an amazing job of keeping happy faces on and staying in tune with their two little ones. This session should be a reminder that even amongst the days you feel defeated… there is beauty and happiness. So here’s to the parents that find themselves wondering what happens if their toddler is out of sorts at a photo session… simply work through it and you will realize the magic that can be captured!
