The room was filled with five dozen roses. There were four red bouquets for the little ones at home and a pink bouquet for their little girl on the way. Mom’s transition was a quick one. As I stood back and documented the anticipation of this new arrival, the doctor turned to me and said, “Dad may end up delivering this baby.” While I was sure she wasn’t serious, moments later she was fitting him for rubber gloves and tying up his gown. He stepped into position and smiled and his beautiful wife. The doctor stood by his side and guided him through, breath by breath, push by push. Victoria Aracely was born right into her daddy’s hands. The moment was breath taking and something I may never witness again. It was a moment that they will never forget and are so blessed to have gotten to experience. This little girl will always hear her dad tell her the story of the day her delivered her and handed her to mommy. Best. story. ever.
